Designed for beginner astronomers, the Levenhuk Skyline Travel Sun 70 70mm f/6 Refractor Telescope can be used for regular nighttime viewing of the moon and planets or, with the simple installation of the included filter, observing the sun. The white light filter fits on the front of the optical tube (OTA) and allows for safe viewing of sunspots, granulations, planetary transits, and all phases of solar eclipses.
The OTA is attached to a manual alt-azimuth mount equipped with a slow-motion handle to increase tracking precision and reduce vibrations. Supporting the mount and OTA is an adjustable height aluminum tripod. A suite of accessories are included to enrich your viewing experiences including high and low power eyepieces, a Barlow lens that triples the power of each eyepiece, a 45° diagonal that improves viewing comfort, and a backpack to put everything in and safely transport it.
