HD-TVI stands for High Definition Transport Video Interface. It is a digital signal processing and transport technology for video used in HD security cameras and DVRs. The TVI standard was developed by a company named Techpoint and released in 2014. HD-TVI cameras currently support 2MP/1080p video resolution as well as 3MP resolution. If you used RG59 siamese or RG6 coax cable to run the video from your current CCTV cameras back to your DVR, there is good news when it comes to upgrading, you can use the same cable to run video from your HD security cameras.
Why choose a camera that uses HD-TVI technology?
High-definition megapixel video that costs less than IP
Transmit HD video over standard RG59 coax or any standard analog CCTV cabling
Zero latency
Installs as easily as a standard analog CCTV camera
Farther cable runs for large/long distance installations
Upgrade existing CCTV cameras and keep existing cables
Can I still use my existing DVR?
If your existing DVR was manufactured before 2014 there is a good chance that it is a 960H DVR that does not support high definition video and will not work with this HD-TVI camera. If your existing DVR supports HD video please verify that it also supports HD-TVI signal. There are currently 4 different HD over coax technologies which include AHD, HD-CVI, HD-SDI, and HD-TVI and none of them will work with the other. This camera is fully compatible with all Hikvision Turbo DVRs.
This professional 72IR bullet security camera employs a 1/2.9? Sony IMX323 CMOS Image Sensor with a 2.4 Megapixel Resolution and an advanced circuit design, it adopts an advanced image processing technology and otputs a crisp 1920×1080 pixels full HD image, will only work with a TVI DVR.
